Okay. These come in four categories. I’ll explain each in detail. We’ll start with the most fun (If you prefer [and since they do it better anyway], you can just watch the YouTube Channel).
I. Live
Sex, drugs, rock, roll, beer, whisky, blisters, sweating profusely in front of people, blowing our lungs out, dancing our legs off. All for you.

II. Visual Songs
Something slightly new. Let’s say you want to write a song about playing on the playground as a kid. So you’ve got a few chords, and you need to start adding lyrics. So you start picking out certain details, the blisters on your hands from the monkey bars, the smell of the mulch, the puddle in the tire swing, etc. But you’re not Dylan and you can’t get away with fifteen verses, so you have to start picking certain details. What if, instead of attempting to describe a certain object perfectly, you film that exact object? And since video is distributed just as easily as audio (if not easier) nowadays, why not just film the lyrics you’d want to put?

III. Music Videos
These are the most obvious, using the tried and true method of “now that we have this song, let’s add video to get people to like the song more. I’ve completed one so far, to “Driving.” It’s entirely composed of all 3,000 or so pictures taken on one of those classic American cross-country road trips, Columbus-Seattle-San Fran-Columbus. IV. Guthrie
When Woody Guthrie started writing songs, he worked in the classic folk tradition of reworking existing folk songs, adding his own lyrics to the modern issues of the day. In that same vein, I’m after the same thing, and uploading them on YouTube (true, a highly-overdone thing to do, but what other options does the modern day folk troubadour have?).

Hey Andy,
I am your grandma, Shirley Murnyack nephew out in California. She sent me your website. Very nice job. I’ve looked at your videos and some other stuff. I enjoyed your songs that I’ve listen to. Just the couple here on this part of your web site.
I see by your pictures that you made it out to California on your trip. If you made L.A. it would have been nice to meet if you had time. Maybe next time.
Keep up the good work,
Dave
